WAITING FOR A LOSS?

MEMORIZE: “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit” (Psalm 51:12)

READ:  Psalm 51:1-12

God has had to present great opportunities disguised as demands and many people have lost them. This has to do with how people perceive things. If you do not see things, circumstances and events from God’s perspective, you will continue to take such events as problems instead of the solutions that they really are. May the Lord open your eyes to see every disguised blessing in Jesus’ Name.

There are those who lost some precious things but through God’s grace, they recovered them. Yet, there are others who never recovered what they lost.  For instance, the pioneer Israeli king lost his crown but never recovered it. Beyond that loss, God ensured he had no son left in his house; all died on the same day! David, king Saul’s successor lost his crown but got it back.

He cried to God with a penitent heart in Psalm 51, and God punished him but also restored him. Many fail to know the value of their legs until they suffer from a stroke.  When you tell some people to dance for the Lord, the reason they will advance for not doing so vigorously is because they are dignified and honorable people. The day they are hit with a stroke, they will begin to cry to God for restoration promising to dance for Him with the legs. Do not wait to lose your legs: Justify why you have them now!

I had a team of young boys and girls who accompanied me wherever I was going several years ago. I taught them to evangelize in twos. One day, two of them went to Otta town (Nigeria) to preach to an old man. He was the leader of the herbalists in the town with all kinds of charms adorning his apartment. Offended at their visit, he promised to be mild in harming them since they were quite young.

At some point, they asked him, ‘Sir, do you have any problem you cannot solve by your  powers and charms?’  He said ‘Yes’.  He was married to 16 wives and all died as payment to the witches who empowered him. Now, his 17th wife was pregnant and already bleeding which was the same way the others went. So they prayed for her in the Name of Jesus and left to witness to others. A few minutes later, the man ran after them shouting that the bleeding had stopped. That was how he gave his life to Jesus Christ and came under divine management. Anything  you have that you cannot use for Him is a waste.

ACTION POINT:
One reason we do not see the spectacular power of God in manifestation today is because we fail to go to places God’s power would be tested.
